Johanna comes to Hot Mango Pickle as a young master of all trades. A fine artist and accomplished violinist, Johanna currently studies ethno-botany with a focus on sustainable farming and sustainable business practice.
Johanna grew up in Guatemala City, Guatemala and later finished her schooling in Madrid, Spain. Her father, a noted cultural anthropologist, introduced Johanna to cultural immersion through his own study and research. It was the exposure to her father’s work combined with her mother, grandmothers’ and grandfather’s backgrounds in fine art that encouraged Johanna’s own study of and experimentation with art.
For the last two and half years, Johanna was the manager of Preston Wynne a prominent Northern California Spa. Today, she brings together her passion for the arts, with her international experience and business knowledge to create sustainable, Fair Trade, relationships with Hot Mango Pickle artists and craftsmen around the world.
