Hot Mango Pickle welcomes artist submissions for representation in the Hot Mango Pickle Fine Art Gallery, the Hot Mango Pickle online store, and for private exhibitions. Generally speaking, artists are evaluated by the Hot Mango Pickle review board on technique, subject matter, alignment with company vision and aesthetic, and their past exhibitions.
Please include the following information when submitting your work for consideration:
Current Contact Information: Name, business phone number, cell phone number, email address, and mailing address.
CV/Resume: Should include information on past exhibitions and a list of references.
Biography and Artist Statement: A description of artist’s technique, inspiration and educational background.
Digital Portfolio: 4 or 5 images of your work, including title of piece and media used.

When will I hear back?
Due to the high volume of artist submissions a Hot Mango Pickle representative will contact you within 6 to 8 weeks of your email submission.
Review Process
The HMP review board evaluates submission
If the review board accepts your work, you will be notified via email, and invited for a formal portfolio review with one of the members of the Hot Mango Pickle review board.
Formal portfolio reviews happen at the Hot Mango Pickle gallery located at 539 Bryant Street Palo Alto, CA 94301. The artist is responsible for bringing:
Portfolio of work
Photos or samples of work that is available for sale and pricing
CD with images of available work and pricing for the Hot Mango Pickle review board to keep for final review
A final decision will be made by the review board within one week. You will be notified via phone, so that pricing, venue (gallery or online store) and length of contract can be discussed at that time.

Hot Mango Pickle Policies
When an artist is accepted by the Hot Mango Pickle review board for one or more of the Hot Mango Pickle venues (gallery, online store, or private exhibitions), they are required to sign a contract that, at minimum, consents agreement to the following policies:
Artist is responsible for supplying Hot Mango Pickle with high resolution print-ready images of artwork.
Artist is responsible for providing brochures and catalogs about their work and exhibitions to distribute to Hot Mango Pickle clients.
Artist will receive an update about the work, during the period of the contract; only when a piece is sold. The artist will receive payment within 2 weeks of the sale.
Artist must make arrangements to drop off and pick up their artwork exactly on the commencement day or the expiry day indicated in the contractual agreement. If the artist picks up the artwork after the date of expiry, Hot Mango Pickle is no longer legally liable for the pieces.
Artist may not take work back at anytime during the time of the contract.
Hot Mango Pickle reserves the right to display artwork according to the aesthetic theme of each month as determined by the Hot Mango Pickle trend director.
This includes but is not limited to:
Artist’s artwork can be displayed with other pieces from different artists.
Artist cannot determine where in the gallery artwork is hung (i.e. which walls.)
Artist can expect that all art will be stored, hung and handled with the utmost care.
Artists can be considered for private shows/exhibitions only after their original work has been in the gallery for at least 3 months. Hot Mango Pickle will provide postcards to publicize the event, will feature the event on the Hot Mango Pickle website, will distribute and email to the Hot Mango Pickle mailing list, and will promote the event through its media relationships.
Hot Mango Pickle does not guarantee sale of artwork.
